Since inception in 1933, S. H. Bell Company has been heavily involved with serving steel and other basic industries. With the opening of our first Pittsburgh area warehouse facility in 1954, Bell pioneered the concept of delivering raw materials via water and rail to staging areas, from which the Company could service its customers by providing storage, handling, and final distribution - mainly by truck - to consuming industries on an "as needed basis".

The business grew over the years in response to growing demand from off-shore producers and traders. Today, the Company receives a wide variety of industrial products from over 20 countries around the world, and distributes them from five warehouse facilities in strategic locations.
